Steven Tyler de Aerosmith : Me aspiré la mitad de la coca de Perú

You can’t put a price of fun, as the old saying goes. However, in a new interview, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith believes he knows how much money he spent on cocaine in his wilder and crazier youth.

TNT is reporting that, during a feature on an upcoming Australian edition of ’60 Minutes’ the Aerosmith frontman was confronted with the rumor that, over the course of his career, he blew $20 million on blow. Tyler came back with a smaller figure.

“No, probably, realistically, 5 or 6, easy,” he said. “But it doesn’t matter. You also could say I snorted half of Peru, but, you know, it’s what we did.”

Of course, Tyler is specifically talking about how much he snorted. It is not known if he has ever partied with Rod Stewart, who took cocaine anally.

Australia’s ’60 Minutes’ has spent quite a bit of time with classic rock stars lately. Last week, they profiled Robert Plant, where he hinted at the possibility of a Led Zeppelin reunion in 2014.

Last year, Aerosmith appeared on the original American version of the popular long-running news program that exposed the band’s internal squabbles. Bassist Tom Hamilton blamed reporter Lara Logan’s cleavage.

“She had a very low-cut top on,” he said. “I’m like, ‘Okay, this is sort of, ‘Get the band nervous with your cleavage and make them say stuff.’ And if you go and watch the interview, you won’t see that. So I’m like, ‘Ahh, that’s how they do it.’ They show their boobs and get you to talk about stuff. And then, there you are…It works every time.”

.-

Steven Tyler may be gone from this season of ‘American Idol,’ but he won’t be forgotten — especially after hestrolled out during last night’s (Jan. 31) episode to audition for the contest while wearing a blonde wig, lipstick, and fake honking breasts.

Calling himself Pepper LaBeija (a reference to the famous drag queen featured in ‘Paris Is Burning,’ a 1990 documentary about New York City drag balls), Tyler drew bemused chortles from the judges’ table before offering to sing a song called ‘Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa Our Love’s A-Gonna Grow Ooh-Wah, Ooh-Wah’ (a title lifted from a line in Bob Dylan‘s ‘Talkin’ World War III Blues’).

“But before I do,” rasped Tyler/LaBeija, “I’m gonna judge your [bleeped expletive] first. I like you men — the roosters may crow — but the hens deliver the goods, you know what I’m sayin’?”

At this point, to uproarious laughter and a cry of “Steven Tyler,” he dropped the act and asked, “Do I go through to Hollywood or what?”

After doffing his wig and performing a mini-striptease that ended with one of Tyler’s honking fake mammaries on Randy Jackson‘s desk, the Aerosmith frontman declared, “I just wanted to come by and say hello, everybody. I love you. Good luck with this year. I tried so hard — no Hollywood,” before tottering offstage while lifting up the back of his skirt to offer the judges a censored look at his derriere.
